certainly special,
but not the lumberjack one.
visual confections, mind cake and aural amusements brought to you with love, quandary and a penchant for digital pleasures.

Borderline
This is borderline brilliance : The Flaming Lips w/ Stardeath and White Dwarfs doing a pretty pretty stellar cover of Madonna's Borderline. It definitely ranks in the upper echelon of cover songs.
I love how The Flaming Lips always complete the circle: providing their audience with both audio and visual pleasure.
This song and a bevy of other covers can be found on Warner Brother's keeping-with-the-compilation-trend release Covered, A Revolution in Sound, meant to celebrate Warner Bros. 50th Anniversary.
I haven't heard anything else from this; but I am intrigued by The Black Keys covering Captain Beefheart and Mastodon w Billy Gibbons covering ZZ Top.
Could be good.
Could be.
