glycerine scribbles

as the curves of the road became more familiar with the touch of my car, the radio static melted into a cool melody and conjured up your spirit.

with the touch of buttons i reached you.

it had been so long.

radio silent.

you told me i was close to your heart; and i told you you became close to mine again.

later on, the universe carried your scent to me in front of the magnifying glass on top of the stack of great stories.

tonight it seemed to take a liking to you,
making your presence a visceral part in my nugget of the world.

the lingering reminder of absence gone.

but maybe you are always there, like the buildings,
just sometimes i do not see you.
